Getting out for a regular ride is the main reason we all love our bikes, and we’re not different!! What’s more, by being based in the middle of the stunning Cotswold countryside we couldn’t ask for better roads to get out and enjoy our favourite pastime. Discover Bikes organise regular rides, every Saturday morning, from our base here in the Cotswold Waterparks (GL7 5LW).

Saturday Rides

COVID-19 update: The UK Government and British Cycling have now confirmed that we can organised group rides, we’ve restricted groups to no more than eight riders. To help facilitate this, all riders MUST pre-register for the ride. To do this we are using an on-line registration system – to sign up for our next ride, simply CLICK HERE and follow the instructions.
Our weekly Saturday rides which start from outside the shop setting off at 9am and last for a couple of hours, covering 30 (ish) miles. Riders of all abilities are welcome and we split the groups depending on who is there, fast / intermediate / social, with each group doing a variation of the same route.
We make every effort not to leave riders behind (especially in the slow group) but please be aware it is the sole responsibility of the individual riding to be self-sufficient in the event of a breakdown and also to know your way home should you get distanced from the group. Whilst we actively encourage riders of all abilities to join us please don’t be offended if you get left behind towards the end of the ride (for many this is their only ‘proper’ ride of the week!!) hang on in there and you’ll soon be finishing the ride at the front of the group.
If you fancy coming along, just turn up at Discover Bikes (please register using our on-line system to help us pre-set the groups), there is a quick pre-ride brief each week were the group leaders are introduced. We’re sure some riders will drive out and join us while others will ride out and incorporate the social ride into a longer training ride of their own. Details of the routes, and links to downloadable gps files are available below…
